Fiorello teases Rai from the inside, joking on Viva Rai2 about the hypothesis that Sanremo could leave Rai from 2025. The showman hypothesizes Mediaset as the destination.

AND a Fiorello without brakes the one that is approaching the last days of Viva Rai2. His morning show will close its doors on May 10th and it is not clear if and when it will resume, but in the meantime the host enjoys touching Rai’s raw nerve, i.e. the migration of its talents elsewhere.

Among the rumors of the last few hours, there is also the eternal question of the possible transfer of Sanremo to another network, due to the imminent expiration of the agreement with Rai. “Rai risks losing Sanremo”says Fiorello, taking up the press indiscretions: “The agreement will expire in 2025 and the mayor says the next council will deal with it. The record industry considers the structures obsolete and is pushing to move the festival”. Then the Sicilian showman, who was co-protagonist of the last five festivals with Amadeus, adds something about him, hypothesizing the most probable scenario in the event of the event moving elsewhere:

There is still absolute mystery about the company that could most likely buy Sanremo. We only know that there is a name change and from there we can make some deductions: it will be called Pier FestivaL. Who knows where he will go.

The reference is obviously to Mediaset, according to a scenario which, in this case, would certify the existence of a television duopoly. But now, with the opulent signing campaign of the last two seasons and the passage of Fazio and Amadeus, the Nove represents a reality that aspires to become the third pole. Citing other rumors from the last few hours, Fiorello spoke about the possible objectives of Warner Discovery (the group of which Nove is part) in the short term: “Floris will also go to Nove, but what’s the news? That Warner is trying to buy the La7 journalistic hub. If you see Mentana, it already has the “20% discount” tag. As soon as they buy all the information, they have already made the third prong”.
