Below is a statement released by the local police of Andria:
In recent days, the Local Police of Andria, as part of their control activities regarding the hours of sale and administration of alcoholic beverages, carried out specific services in the historic city centre.
In application of the rules contained in the Police and Urban Security Regulations, pursuant to art. 12 c. 2, n. were sanctioned. 3 activities as the owners carried out the takeaway sale of alcoholic drinks in glass containers after 9.00 pm, n. were sanctioned. 4 customers because they consumed alcoholic beverages in glass containers in a public area and no. 3 owners of vending machines 24/7 for dispensing glass bottles after 9.00 pm, for each violation there is an administrative fine of €250.00.
These controls are necessary for greater protection of hygiene, decorum, urban safety and public safety threatened by the abandonment of glass containers.
