Jannik Sinner will take to the field in the Masters 1000 in Madrid also on Tuesday, 30 April, for his round of 16 match against the Russian Karen Khachanov, seeded number 16. No rest therefore for the Italian, who came out tired and bruised for a hip problem from the match against Pavel Kotov. Sinner and Khachanov face each other for the fifth time, with the Italian ahead 3-1 in head-to-head matches. Jannik won the last three matches, in Melbourne-1 and in Miami in 2021, and in the round of 16 of the 2024 Australian Open, while Khachanov defeated him in their first match, at the 2020 US Open, after going two sets down. The match is scheduled as the fourth match on the Arantxa Sanchez pitch, therefore around 5pm, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sport and streaming on Now.

Tomorrow, on the Manolo Santana, Rafael Nadal will also take to the court, the last match in the evening session which will be opened by the women’s quarter-final between Madison Keys and Ons Jabeur: the former world no.1 will challenge Jiri Lehecka. The program on the main court of the Caja Magica will be opened, starting from 11am, by the match between Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Bublik, followed by the world number one Iga Swiatek against the Brazilian Haddad Maia.

Carlos Alcaraz will play, on the Manolo Santana, the third match of the day, potentially very dangerous against Jan-Lennard Struff, in the rematch of the 2023 final in Madrid: be careful because the German is really in form. Also on the pitch, on the Arantxa Sanchez, are Andrey Rublev against Tallon Griekspoor (starting at 11am), Alexander Zverev against Francisco Cerundolo, Hurkacz against Fritz and Felix Auger Aliassime-Casper Ruud as the last match.
