However, a general relief, accompanied by a smile, would be more than justified, understood and natural. Achieving salvation in Serie C – the minimum objective of a complex season – is just one step away. Di Carlo’s biancazzurri are in 13th place with 43 points. Pineto and Lucchese are in front with one more point and Rimini – tenth in the last place to enter the playoff – at 47. In the event of Spal’s full spoils, Rimini needs at least one victory: two draws would condemn the Romagna team due to the Este goal difference gained in the direct clashes.
