A Volkswagen Golf and a scooter collided this morning (Tuesday 16 April) shortly after 11.50 am in Viale Petrarca in Vigevano, near the intersection with Via Nosotti.
A 59-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after being thrown from his scooter and ended up in the opposite lane from which a van was coming. He was helped by an ambulance, a medical vehicle and an air ambulance from Milan, which arrived at the scene of the accident under code red, which indicates the utmost urgency.

After being stabilized on site, the motorcyclist was airlifted to the Niguarda hospital in Milan under code red, with multiple head, chest and pelvis injuries as reported by Areu 118 in a note.
