In the vibrant setting of the “Don Bosco” arena in Lecce, on Sunday 14 April 2024, the long-awaited tests valid for the Regional Sword Qualification at the Italian Gold Championships in the Youth and Cadet category took place. An event that saw the emerging talents of Apulian fencing shine.

Among the undisputed protagonists of the day, the name of Lucrezia Orlando stands out, athlete of the ASD Scherma Lame Azzurre Maestri Zumbo of Brindisi, who reached the top of the podium in the women’s sword specialty. With an impeccable performance and a consistently positive record, Orlando demonstrated unparalleled determination and mastery, giving his team and supporters a triumph to remember.

But the heroic deeds were not limited to the women’s field.
