Vivicittà: Luca Tassarotti and Silvia Nasso of Tirreno Atletica win

A beautiful spring Sunday was the setting for over 600 participants for the 40 years of Vivicittà, the usual running event organized by Uisp Civitavecchia Aps with the patronage of the Municipality of Civitavecchia, simultaneously with over 38 Italian cities. For the competitive race over the 10 km distance, the sixth “Francesco De Fazi” memorial was awarded to the representative of Tirreno Atletica Civitavecchia Luca Tassarotti with a time of 33′:52”, followed by Conti Emanuele (35′:19” ) SS Lazio Atletica Leggera and Morbidelli Emiliano (35′:50”) Athletica Vaticana.

The tenth edition of the “Leda Gallinari” memorial took place for women. We remember Leda Gallinari, the first woman, after the national liberation, to hold the position of Councilor and Assessor, she demonstrated qualities of rare sensitivity and dedication. She must be remembered as a leading woman, endowed with a civil and moral passion that will remain imprinted in the city’s rebirth process. She was the promoter of the March 8th celebration, distributing mimosas in the Market Square and in the blocks of flats, also distributing the weekly “Noi Donne”.

The winner of the trophy was Silvia Nasso of Tirreno Atletica Civitavecchia, who stopped the clock at a time of 39′:29”, followed by Municchi Marcella (42′:11”) Asd Atletica Costa D’Argento and Rinaldi Caterina ( 44′:13”) Asd Elite Athletes. Also at 09:30 the non-competitive 3 km walk started from Piazza della Vita, animated by over 450 participants who had the opportunity to walk through the city center and the port up to the shadow of Fort Michelangelo. In the rankings of the recreational-motor walk, the Istituto Comprensivo Don Milani wins first place among the city schools, while the SSD Ginnastica Civitavecchia is the Association with the highest number of members at the start. At the end of the walk, the small sailing workshop was held at the Marina, impeccably led by the Asd Pianeta Mare with the support of the La Bilancella Association, with the logistical support of the Italian Naval League. Uisp Civitavecchia thanks all those who made the holding of this splendid event possible in various capacities: the Municipal Administration, the Local Police, the State Police, the volunteers of the Uisp, the Civil Protection, the ANPPE, the Traffic Police in Pension, Csp, IIS Guglielmo Marconi, who all together guaranteed the safety of the participants throughout the entire journey, the Port Authority, Port Mobility, Pas, ADSP, the Customs Agency and Se.port which allowed the passage of the promenade inside the port.
