Earth Day: Emilia-Romagna tells its story through its soil

It feeds because it is cultivated, quenches thirst because it retains water, protects because it is a natural filter, safeguards because it is a natural archive of our history. The Legislative Assembly pays homage to the “soil”, to the bare earth that provides many services to our ecosystem by hosting “The lands of Emilia-Romagna”photographic exhibition created by the Soil and Seismic Geology Area of ​​the Emilia-Romagna Region on the occasion of the “Earth Day” which is celebrated every year on April 22nd.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the president of the Legislative Assembly and the vice-president of the council in the presence of those who actually created the exhibition. Also present at the ribbon cutting Raffaele Pignonelong-time director of the Emilia-Romagna Region and founder of the Geological Service of Viale Aldo Moro.

Consisting of 15 panels, “The lands of Emilia-Romagna” tells the story of the eight major landscape types of Emilia-Romagna which, from the Apennine ridge to the Romagna coast, correspond to as many eight types of soil differing in terms of fertility.

“The lands of Emilia-Romagna” will be open to the public until April 22nd on weekdays from 9 am to 6 pm in Viale Aldo Moro 50 in Bologna.
