Already during his childhood, spent in Orta Nova, he began to develop a great love for art: theatre, cinema, painting, entertainment. Thus, after many sacrifices and an innate optimism, the Apulian Valentina Cole managed to fulfill her dream. At just 27 years old, her CV already includes a film alongside Riccardo Scamarcio (The Infidelson Netflix), participation as a judge in the TV program «All Together Now» on Canale 5, presented by Michelle Hunziker, the hosting of the program «The excellence of taste», a tour of Italy to discover the best ice creams, a masterclass with Gabriele Muccino and more.
«After graduating I went to Rome, to the Theater Academy – Valentina tells the Gazzetta – I have always had very clear ideas, as a child I organized shows for the neighborhood, or on holiday. I may have gotten the attitude from my grandmother, given that my parents are sportsmen: she, on the other hand, was passionate about art, we watched Raffaella Carrà, Monica Vitti on TV together, my eyes shone.”
The first audition arrived at a critical moment, before the pandemic, but despite everything the cinema experience opened many doors for her: «Covid slowed everything down – she continues – until that moment I had never thought about television in my career . Then came the opportunity to host “The Excellence of Taste” on Alma TV. For weeks I ate only ice cream, and it was a real school of hosting. From there I understood that I could broaden my horizons and build a path that was as multifaceted as possible, in which I could continue to be myself.”
The experience of «All Together Now», however, was born from a «closed door»: «I had auditioned for another program and wasn’t taken, but the author told me about Michelle Hunziker’s show and I decided to try. It went very well, I managed to bring the catchphrase “In the name of the Italian people” to the screen, precisely because despite it being a singing competition, I was myself on TV, with my spontaneity, my way of being. It’s what makes me most proud: I conquered everything with commitment and patience, I don’t have to thank anyone.”
Creative and ironic, today Valentina has an excellent following on social media (her Instagram profile is @valentinaisabellacole_), where she offers funny parodies: «Social media is our business card. I said to myself: I’ll build it myself, since I also love writing. It all started as a game, I also do the filming and editing myself. And interesting things are emerging: Mrs. Nunzia of the orecchiette has already written to me that she would like to collaborate with me, in the name of Puglia that I love so much.” Yes, because even though she left her very early, she continues to be in love with her land: «I love her values, I dream of making a film or a fiction to tell it. We are a region of artists.”
