(Agen Food) – Latina, 15 April. – The premiere is celebrated today National Day of Made in Italy, promoted by MIMIT; for this reason Plasmon, an iconic national brand that has raised generations of Italians, takes this opportunity to renew its commitment to supporting the correct nutrition of children.

Sensitive and attentive to the specific nutritional needs of children since 1902, Plasmon is dedicated to developing solutions and creating products for children through a deep sense of responsibilitywith a mission that goes beyond numbers and turnover and with the aim of promoting correct and sustainable nutrition, while promoting biodiversity and the development of a national agricultural supply chain.

Local institutions have chosen to celebrate the First National Day of Made in Italy in the factory Plasmon of Latina, an Italian excellence in the world on which the company has decided to focus in recent years by investing 20 million euros with the aim of offering families increasingly innovative and quality children’s products.

Made in Italy can and must also be child-friendly. – he highlighted Luigi Cimmino Caserta, Head of Institutional Relations of Kraft Heinz for Plasmon. The nutritional needs of children are not those of a small adult, but respond to specific health needs in terms of development, and are, not surprisingly, regulated by specific rules dedicated to the 0-3 year age group. For Plasmon, attention extends from the choice of raw materials to the manufacturing processes, from quality controls to the search for the most sustainable packaging.

Furthermore, we have been carrying out an intense and constructive dialogue with national and local institutions for some time: thanks to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, Filiera Italia and Coldiretti, we have given life, in fact, to a model of agri-food supply chain dedicated to ‘Made in Italy’ children.

The Plasmon plant in Latina is a center of international excellence in this, as well as representing many families of this area, who are part of our history. This is why we are proud to take part in the celebrations of the First National Day of Made in Italy and I thank Mayor Celentano for honoring us with his presence on this occasion. Today’s initiative represents a further demonstration of our desire to contribute to the economic and social development of the country, offering families all our experience, with increasingly innovative and quality foods and continuing to work alongside the institutions”.

Today, April 15, the first National Made in Italy Day is celebrated. An opportunity, promoted by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, to celebrate the creativity and excellence of Italian products. At the same time, more than 200 events were organized nationwide by companies that make our country unique in the world stated the Mayor of the Municipality of Latina, Matilde Celentano. We are happy to be able to celebrate this day with an institutional visit to Plasmon, a historic Italian brand that for 122 years has represented excellence for Italy in the production of high quality baby food. The Latina plant, inaugurated in 1969, produces 200 million jars and 1.8 billion biscuits every year but, above all, it is the workplace of 300 people who, thanks to this possibility, have built their lives in the capital. On behalf of the administration I represent, I congratulate Plasmon, which also represents the history of our territory, and which in the past has already decided to actively participate in the collective good, donating to the city a playground for childrenthe”.

The initiative was also an opportunity for Plasmon’s top management to extend an invitation to the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, a young mother sensitive to the growth path of children and always attentive to the valorisation of Made in Italy in the world, to visit the factory and celebrate this center of excellence together with over 300 worker families.
