Marsala – In Marsala numerous curious and enthusiastic visitors accepted the FAI’s invitation to participate in the XXXII edition of the “Spring Days” which confirm themselves as one of the most important and significant events for learning about the Italian cultural and landscape heritage. They were two intense and exciting days for the high number of participants, but above all for the surprise and enthusiasm of the visitors who had the opportunity to discover the history of the Florio Cellars and the restoration site of the Marausa 2 ship by experiencing a ‘extraordinary and rewarding experience.
It was an opportunity to appreciate these important sites, testimony to the precious heritage of our city which, thanks to the national communication and dissemination promoted by the FAI, all Italians had the opportunity to discover.
The protagonists of the event are the extraordinary and enthusiastic young Ciceroni Apprentices of the IS “Giovanni XXIII – Cosentino”, pillars and at the same time main beneficiaries of this FAI project-event.
We thank the many who made it possible to organize this great celebration dedicated to the country’s heritage of history, art and nature: Director of the Archaeological Park of Lilibeo Arch. Anna Occhipinti and collaborators, Cantine Florio, Superintendence of the Sea of the Sicilian Region, Dr. Maria Elena Bello, Dr. Maria Luisa Asaro school director of the IS “Giovanni XXIII – Cosentino”, Dr. Eleonora Romano responsible for permanent education of the Lilibeo Archaeological Park, Friends of the Archaeological Park, Prof. Roberto Galifi, Prof. Ginetta Ingrassia, Dr. Alessandra Messina, the archaeologists Filippo Pisciotta, Leonardo Abelli, Maria Vittoria Agosta and Diego Mileto.
Thanks to the volunteers of the FAI Group of Marsala who organized, manned the sites and welcomed the visitors.
