ROME – From the early hours of Wednesday 27 March there is no further news of Sofia Rivera Alvares, 13 years old, and Michelle Carlucci, 12 years old, of Cotignola and Fusignano respectively, two municipalities in the province of Ravenna. The two very young people are friends and their phones, from the analysis of the cells, have been located, since March 28, in the Naples area.

The mother of Michelle Carlucci had accompanied her daughter to the middle school of Alfonsine, another small municipality in the province of Ravenna but – it was later discovered – that the girl she never entered the classroom. Sofia Rivera, her friend a year older, was with her and in the same way she was not present at the lessons.

The family members filed a missing person’s report. The location of the two phones in Campania may not be coincidental. A family member reportedly said he had learned that one of the two girls would have planned a trip to Campania in the last few days to visit another girl he met on an online site. The police maintain maximum confidentiality on the investigations, also because the phones of the two teenagers are turned off or in any case not reachable.
