Via Crucis of Atripalda

The sacred representation of the Via Crucis boasts a centuries-old tradition in Atripalda. Since 1880, the “Fisher” Achille Giovino, following a religious vow, has taken on the role of the Hooded Man, giving life to a family custom, which has continued for decades and has been passed down from father to son.

The tradition continues on March 29, 2024, at 7:00 pm, starting from Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

The actors and extras, chosen from among the citizens of the town (as per tradition and inspiration of Maestro Venezia), give life to an incredible show in which Faith merges with art, history with tradition.
