In the last period, the activity carried out by the State Police of Udine has made it possible to implement a series of incarceration and home detention measures against some convicted criminals domiciled in this province.
The first detention order was carried out against a 37-year-old Nigerian citizen, domiciled in Udine, who was arrested in execution of a detention order from the Udine Prosecutor’s Office for the expiation of a sentence of 1 year and 8 months , following the conviction for crimes of domestic abuse committed against his partner, a compatriot of the man.
A 29-year-old, resident in Udine, was arrested and must serve a sentence of 4 years and 4 months, following a provision from the Padua Prosecutor’s Office, as a cumulation of various convictions for facts relating to drugs, aggravated theft, damage, receiving stolen goods and other .
A 45-year-old Pakistani citizen was found in this center and must serve a residual sentence of 4 months and 20 days in prison for drug dealing.
The last is a 75-year-old, resident in a municipality in the foothills of Udine, sentenced by the Court of Palermo to a 17-year prison sentence, as he was found guilty of criminal conspiracy aimed at importing narcotic substances from Colombia into Italy, events which occurred in the mid-2000s. The person concerned, who in the past had already endured long periods of imprisonment for crimes of the same nature, was traced to his home.
