Caltanissetta, Nisseno found dead in a pool of blood behind the Medaglie d’Oro car park – il Fatto Nisseno

The Holy Wednesday procession was proceeding with the last part of its route when, not far away, behind the Medaglie d’Oro car park, a man lost his life.

This is Roberto Giudici, 54 years old, from Nisse resident in Belgium, and the causes of death were attributed to natural causes.

A passerby, presumably passing by after witnessing the procession, alerted the emergency services and reported to the Carabinieri the presence of a figure lying on the ground after half past midnight.

A Red Cross ambulance, together with the Carabinieri, promptly arrived on site and the volunteers immediately began cardiac massage to attempt resuscitation. However, there was nothing that could be done for the man who was lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Shortly afterwards, the medical examiner arrived and confirmed the death.

From the first reconstruction it seems that the man would have gotten out of the car and, feeling ill, would have fallen, causing a large wound to his head which caused the copious leakage of blood. The body was transported to the morgue of the Sant’Elia hospital.
