Tesei urges rapid signing of Arvedi AST Terni program agreement
Tesei requests a quick signature – Donatella Tesei, the President of the Umbria Region, participated in an important technical table at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. The meeting, led by the Head of Department Amedeo Teti, saw the participation of representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, Arvedi AST Terni and the Municipality of Terni.
During the meeting, various crucial issues were discussed in view of the upcoming signing of the program agreement. Among these, the intervention on the landfill through Landfill Mining was discussed, using the best technologies available. These technologies, guaranteed by the company, will be used both for covering and waterproofing the landfill. On this point, there was a general convergence of views among the participants.
The topic of energy was also addressed. The Government has committed to intervening alongside the program agreement, as will happen with the issue of infrastructure.
In her speech, President Tesei underlined the national importance of Arvedi AST and the potential benefits that the program agreement can bring to the territory in terms of socio-economic returns, employment growth and environmental issues.
Considering the substantial convergence on the various issues by the actors involved, President Tesei asked for very short times to reach the signature of the agreement. This request was accepted by government officials.
At the end of the meeting, President Tesei, together with the CEO of FinArvedi, Mario Caldonazzo, and the mayor of Terni, Stefano Bandecchi, were received by Minister Adolfo Urso for a private conversation.
