The financiers of the Provincial Command of Savona, assisted by personnel of the local Financial Police Group of Crotone, have executed an order for the application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison against a young twenty-six year old from Crotone, held responsible for the fraud crimes aggravated and telephone harassment.
The provision was issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the Court of Savona, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office, on the basis of the elements collected by the Albenga Company (Savona), regarding an online scam, for an amount of approximately 80,000 euros , perpetrated against a person residing in the Ingauno territory during 2023.
According to the investigative thesis, fully shared by the local Judicial Authority, the perpetrator of the fraud, already burdened by multiple specific precedents, managed to influence his victim, falsely promising her, by sending numerous messages, both written and vocal, the sending large quantities of pellets, put up for sale on online platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and Subito.it at advantageous prices, inducing her to pay large sums of money without, however, ever delivering any marketed product.
