There is no peace for the residents of Villa Fastiggi. The latest robbery carried out on Saturday afternoon by some criminals in a house in via Achilli is just the latest in a long series of thefts that have been recorded in the neighborhood for months and months. This time the victims are two spouses, a 79-year-old and a 72-year-old who, upon returning to the house on Saturday afternoon, found themselves with an unpleasant surprise: a bedroom completely ransacked by thieves. Clothes on the floor, chests of drawers open, total chaos and around 6 thousand euros worth of jewelery missing, including the wedding ring.

“In the afternoon, from around 5pm to 7pm, my wife and I are often out of the house. Surely they had been spying on us for days and they knew this. In fact, when we returned to the house, we immediately noticed that something was wrong – says the 79-year-old victim, who prefers to remain anonymous -. I headed towards the bedroom, and it was completely upside down. I didn’t have the courage to go in, I was afraid that the thieves were still there, so I called the police”.

After about ten minutes the police arrive at the victims’ home to carry out all the necessary investigations, making sure that there was no one left in the house. At that point the man was called back to the police station to file a complaint. “We have little hope of finding our jewels, even the police told us they don’t want to give us false illusions – continues the 79-year-old –. Among the stolen things there was a necklace by Della Rovere, a unique piece worth 600 euros. But They also took earrings with diamonds, a watch, several gold jewels and also my wife’s wedding ring.” But not only that, the criminals also took away a brand new phone that the victim had bought a few days earlier, “that phone is our only hope. Maybe we can track them down with geolocation, at least that’s what they told us in the police station” .

The one who does not give up and continues to denounce the situation, holding high the flag of urban safety, is the neighborhood councilor Luca Pandolfi of the ‘Let’s listen to Pesaro’ list and on the board of Fratelli d’Italia. This time, however, he is not alone, with him there is also Massimo Giamprini, the “hero” who last February had chased by car the thief who robbed some shops in the neighborhood square and who was then stopped a few days later on the bridge. ‘interdistricts. “Greater vigilance is needed – say the two -, there are strong waves of thefts that must be contained. A patrol that goes around the streets of the neighborhood every day, at least in the late afternoon, is necessary. In the next few days – concludes Pandolfi – I will meet the new commissioner Francesca Montereali to find a concrete solution”.
