Princess Kate could appear in public again soon at the next tournament Wimbledon. The organizers are in fact convinced that she will deliverand prizes to the winners, so much so that at the moment they have not even planned a possible replacement for the ceremony.
It would be good news for the British people and for all the supporters of the wife of the Prince of Wales who has been out of the picture for several months due to cancer which forced her to undergo severe chemotherapy.
Kensington Palace has declared that it will not confirm anything until the expected date approaches (the next 13 and 14 July) due to the impossibility of establishing the effect of the treatments on the princess’s state of health well in advance.
The president of the All England Club spoke about the Wimbledon tournament which will begin this year, Debbie Jevans: “We hope that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as Patron of the Club, but her health and recovery are our priority. All we have said to her is that we will work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible. I don’t know who would be an alternative to present the trophies – that’s something to consider later, if necessary. We are at the moment, remaining very flexible in our scheduling. When we know something for sure, we will think about what is the right thing to do.”
In the past years, in addition to attending the awards ceremony, she had often been present with the children in the royal box to see some of the most interesting matches.
