It opens to “Who has seen?” the widower of Liliana Resinovichbut there is no shortage of discussion in the studio. Sebastiano Visintin he speaks in 360 degrees about what particularly involved him in the story of the mysterious death of his wife, found dead in Trieste in January 2022 after three weeks of disappearance.
Federica Sciarelli asked Sebastiano to remember the moment in which on December 14, 2021, when Lilly had been missing for a few hours, he would have met the neighbors Salvo and Gabriella – who in the meantime would have spoken with the self-styled lover Claudio Sterpin – and then file a missing person report – the neighbors claim that this happened under their own pressure. “I was in shock. If you ask me these things now I struggle”, Visintn replied. Who has now distanced himself from the neighbors, putting an end to the friendship with the couple: “They probably knew what happened. Why does Sterpin rush to and fro that day? This is what I want to analyze”.
On the afternoon of December 14, Visintin blocked a call from Sterpin and the man clarifies why: “I blocked Sterpin’s number. Why was there this phone call… a couple of days later I gave a statement at the police station, reporting a recurring number on Liliana’s phone. They transcribed”. But to Sciarelli’s pressing questions he blurts out: “I’m not in court. I mentioned that there was a man panting a couple of days later”. It’s still: “I came to talk about what I expect from the current exams. If we’re talking about 30 months ago what do you want me to remember?”. In fact, Visintin says it is awaiting the results of the new ones medico-legal tests on the body, tests whose results should arrive at the end of June.
In the very long interview Sebastiano also recalled an event which, in spite of himself, involved his son Piergiorgio Visintin. At the end of 2021, while Lilly was missing, Piergiorgio, having broken down with his car, would have called his father for help with a tow. Sebastiano would have contacted Gabriella and Salvo, who would later recall this circumstance.
Then Sebastiano would have talked about it with a friend of Carniasomeone too far away to help father and son that evening: the widower explained that that call with his friend had only happened to vent, because he was afraid for his son’s safety: “I heard him different, he was screaming”. Piergiorgio would subsequently distance himself from his father, after this affair had become public, feeling in a certain sense accused: “It seemed he was an accomplice to a murder”.
Despite some
skirmish, the interview between Sciarelli and Visintin ended with a handshake and a see you soon. The investigation into Lilly still appears to be long and there are those who fear that a solution to the mystery may not be reached.
