DFor many decades now, Albano Carrisi has been one of the most followed singers in our country. Author and performer of memorable pieces such as Nel Sole and Nostalgia Canaglia, he has been a protagonist of the public scene for sixty years now, with sold-out events all over the world. The singer, despite being eighty years old, still continues to perform with great success. it is no coincidence, in fact, that there is a lot of anticipation for his next public performance.
Born in Cellino San Marco in 1943 into a peasant family, he moved to Milan while still a minor in search of fortune, working as a waiter at the beginning of his career. It was in one of the clubs where he worked that he met his first record producer, who allowed him to debut with his first songs. His consecration came in 1967 thanks to Nel Sole, which allowed him to be known internationally. Also in the same year, he met his future wife Romina Power, with whom he would later form one of the most famous artistic couples in the world.

Al Bano and Romina then separated in 1999, after 30 years of life together, and despite years in which there was frost between them, for ten years now they have started performing together again, and fans have often hoped that between them calm would return. Nothing to do, though: for 24 years now the Apulian singer has been linked to Loredana Lecciso. A relationship marked by many ups and downs, which saw them reach breaking point several times. Now, however, things seem to be going well, and although they have no intention of getting married, they seem very happy together.
Although he is certainly no longer a youngster, Albano remains a high-level artist, and many countries and municipalities wish to host one of his performances. Luck, in this case, happened to the citizens of Giulianova, a municipality of almost 30,000 inhabitants in the province of Teramo, in Abruzzo. Next August 11th Carrisi will perform in Piazza del Mare, on the occasion of the celebration of the Madonna del Portosalvo: an evening that will surely give great emotions.
