At the beginning of her career, Ornella had a relationship with the director of the Academy of Dramatic Art of the Piccolo Teatro, Giorgio Strehler. Ornella Vanoni’s confession regarding the economic situation however, it was the part of the interview that left everyone surprised. Ornella explained that at the end of the tour, they only gave her part of the compensation that had been established: “They knew that I wouldn’t have checked”, explains the singer. There loneliness of her life, then, made her squander the money she earned. Over the decades, Ornella has lost a lot of money by buying houses and properties and reselling them at a price much lower than they were actually worth.
