There will be no Fedez in the first episode of Alessandro Cattelan’s new program on Rai2. The rapper was supposed to be the main guest of the first episode of «Up close, no one is normal», scheduled for Monday 20 May in prime time. According to davidemaggio.it, however, the Rai cleaver fell on the rapper again. The leaders of Viale Mazzini would have intervened to cancel the rapper’s presence on the broadcast, after the developments in the case on the alleged beating of Christian Iovino. Fedez is under investigation by the Milan prosecutor’s office in connection with affray, injury and battery. According to the investigators, the rapper would have been present at the time of the beating of the personal trainer, with whom he would have argued a few hours earlier in the “The club” nightclub in Milan. A circumstance denied by the rapper, who at the Turin Book Fair had denied having witnessed the alleged beating under Iovino’s house.
In the past Fedez had already been kept away from the Rai studios for a long time. At least until last April, when he was interviewed in Belve by Francesca Fagnani. An interview which at times would have been subject to attempts at censorship and postponements for months. Fedez’s participation in Cattelan’s program would have been linked to his commitment to mental health. «Up close no one is normal» is a tribute to a famous phrase by Franco Basaglia. During the program, Cattelan will host various famous people who, through monologues and social experiments, will talk about their fears and their small and large idiosyncrasies.
