“The statements of a gentleman I don’t know and with whom I have never had any relationship, reported in the article published today in the Roman edition of the Corriere della Sera entitled: ‘The D’Alessio case? 20 thousand euros taken’, are absolutely false and the result of this person’s imagination. The alleged facts he reports about me never happened and do not belong to my lifestyle. Gigi D’Alessio announced it in a note.
According to what was reported by the newspaper, the singer’s name ended up in the wiretaps of the investigation by prosecutor Carlo Villani which led to the house arrest, last April 17, of Riccardo Cameo, an official of the Revenue Agency and two other managers, with the accusation of corruption. The suspects – the Corriere della Sera always reports – are 30, including some tax lawyers who turned to Cameo to sort out their clients’ files.
