A much loved and consumed drink has been withdrawn from the market for a very serious reason that can compromise your health.
It often happens that the Ministry of Health communicates to consumers some recalls or withdrawals of much-loved food products for some serious reason, such as contamination by some external agent, or due to errors on the labels.
For example, it recently withdrew from the market a highly consumed drink that can be found on the shelves of a very famous supermarket. This drink is sipped above all during aperitifs and, in view of the summer, it is possible that many have stocked up on it for meals with friends and relatives which, with the summer, become more frequent. Consuming it, however, can be risky for your health! That’s why the alarm went off.
The widely consumed drink withdrawn from the market: it’s an alarm
The Ministry of Health has announced the withdrawal from the market of a widely consumed drink for a very serious reason.
This it is an unmissable drink during an aperitif with friends and relatives. Taken out of the fridge, it is ready to be enjoyed, perhaps by first placing a few ice cubes and a slice of orange or lemon in the glass. Many may have purchased large stocks of them at the supermarket in view of the many summer meals that are about to arrive.
The recalled drink is none other than Lo spritzer in the bottle, the famous cocktail based on Aperol, prosecco and soda which, in this variant, should not be mixed with anything else because it is already ready to be sipped. The one object of the withdrawal by the Ministry is branded Decò, sold in 75 cl bottles and marketed in Decò Italia Scarl supermarkets. In particular, these 3 lots have been recalled:
- L2411002 with expiry date 10/2025
- L2408102 with expiry date 09/2025
- L2406702 with expiry date 09/2025
The reason, as communicated by the Ministry of Health, is very serious as this drink is widely consumed contains a non-compliant label, as the indication “contains SULPHITES” is missing. Sulphites are substances that can cause allergies, even serious ones, in those who are allergic or intolerant to them, therefore people who are allergic or intolerant to sulphites are recommended not to consume the Spritz Decò which is part of the recalled lots, but to return it to the point of sale where they purchased it.
