The National Institute of Gastroenterology “S. de Bellis” in Castellana Grotte joins the initiative promoted on the occasion of World Liver Day, offering the possibility of carrying out a free assessment of the health of one’s liver. Throughout the month, information initiatives will follow to explain the importance of prevention which necessarily involves the adoption of a correct lifestyle, up to adhering to a surveillance program for patients with an advanced stage of disease in order to identify the most the possible development of a liver tumor is possible early. Furthermore, underlines the president of Civ Enzo Delvecchio, “a team of doctors, nutritionists and researchers will put a detailed diagnostic program at the service of the citizen and will follow the patient for any therapies or to propose an experimental dietary regime. An intense activity, therefore, which – concludes Delvecchio – will be completely free for the citizen made possible by the “Salus in Apulia 2.0″ research project financed by the Puglia Region”.
