A new organization for general practitioners in Lazio. The studies will be open for six hours and groups will be formed doctors for every 30 thousand inhabitants. In the Lazio region there is a shortage of family doctors
The crisis of general practitioners in Lazio has continued for months in Lazio: many patients risk being left without a reference doctor. In Rome and its province there are 500 missing, 1200 in the whole region. And the situation is set to get worse next year many, at least 35%, will retire.
According to the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaciwho spoke at a hearing before the Social Affairs Committee of the Chamber, it is time to review the “rules of engagement” for general practitioners to “reorganize local medicine and relaunch its relationship with the hospital system”.
