The hip hop dance group “Time Bomb” has made an incredible journey from its debut in a small park in Schio, to reaching stardom at the Sanremo World Festival 2024. Founded during the Covid period, its members, students of the Stage Door asd dance school in Schio under the guidance of Amber Rose Perkins, took advantage of mayor Valter Orsi’s permission to train outdoors, a move that marked the beginning of their extraordinary adventure. Since the first competition won thanks to this unique opportunity, the group has grown to include 19 young talents.

This year, “Time Bomb” decided to raise the bar by signing up for the prestigious GEF Sanremo 2024. Despite the logistical difficulties caused by bad weather, which risked preventing the group from arriving in time for the competition, the boys did not they are given up. They took the final stretch of the journey by taxi, arriving just in time to wow the jury and the audience, without even time for a preliminary rehearsal. The performance of “Time Bomb” was so exceptional that they not only won first place in their category but were also awarded the Silver Dolphin at the final Grand Gala, establishing themselves as overall winners in the dance category.

Among the awarded students are: Marco Bonato, Isabella Casa, Ettore Francis Carta, Sara Mladenović, Matilde Dalla Stella, Meneghini Mery, Michelle Barbieri, Matilde Corrà, Maria Vittoria Borotto, Riccardo Magro, Marta Sella, Marta Calesella, Rebecca Trentin, Rebecca Dal Lago, Violeta Beatris Garcia Jave, Lisa Nardi, Valentina Toniolo, Sofia Suskovic and the teacher Amber Rose Perkins. Mariachiara Lago, although an integral part of the group, was unable to participate due to school commitments. The success in Sanremo is a recognition not only of the talent and commitment of the young dancers but also of the resilience and passion they have shown in overcoming obstacles, continuing their love of dance even in difficult times.

“Time Bomb” now looks to the future with enthusiasm, ready to explore new opportunities and leave a mark in the world of dance.
