This was stated by Coldiretti in reference to the Istat report on reception facilities. On a general level, there are 9,000 social farms present on the national territory, a phenomenon which in recent years – explains Coldiretti in a note – has acquired an ever-increasing value and over the course of a decade has seen the number of structures increase 7 times
Women who are victims of violence or trafficking and abuse account for 25% of the services managed by social farming businesses, according to a Coldiretti analysis of the latest Welfare Index PMI report. An example is that of Miriam Zenorini who in Trentino Alto Adige welcomes abused women who have a difficult experience into her farm, supporting them with love and commitment in taking back control of their lives.
On a general level, there are 9,000 social farms present in the national territory, a phenomenon which in recent years – explains Coldiretti in a note – has acquired an ever-increasing value and over the course of a decade has seen the number of structures capable of to offer today a value of health and educational services that has exceeded one billion euros, of which 600 million euros in products and 400 million euros in social services carried out by agricultural businesses according to Coldiretti estimates.
In the last year – underlines Coldiretti – over 50 thousand people have used the services created thanks to the social commitment of farmers, improving the quality of their lives and receiving training, with a presence on the farm in many cases daily.
