In the last seven days they have registered in Tuscany 45 new cases of Covid-19: 38 confirmed with molecular swab and the other 7 with rapid test.
The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,653,665. To date, 181 are still positive. The number of recoveries increased by 0.00% (49 people) and reached 1,640,983 (99.2% of total cases).
Today I am hospitalized 12 people are in hospital (2 more than the previous week, +20%), of which none (stable) are in intensive care. 169 are in isolation at home because they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (6 fewer than the previous week, 3.4% less).
The good news is that in the last week no new deaths were recorded
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the number of positive cases since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rises to 441,601 (13 more than the previous week), 107,116 in the province of Prato (5 more), 128,074 in Pistoia (2 more ), 86,845 in Massa Carrara (1 more), 180,068 in Lucca (1 more), 194,468 in Pisa (7 more), 152,834 in Livorno (3 more), 149,490 in Arezzo (10 more), 118,675 in Siena (2 more) and 92,897 in Grosseto (1 more). To these must be added 571 positive cases notified in Tuscany but which concern residents in other regions.
Tuscany has approximately 45,158 overall cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the start of the pandemic (among residents and non-residents). At the moment the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 47,116 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), followed by Livorno (46,795) and Pisa (46,616). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 41,319).
The deaths
No new deaths have been recorded in the last week.
This leaves 12,501 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,921 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 988 in the province of Prato, 1,137 in Pistoia, 750 in Massa Carrara, 1,118 in Lucca, 1,415 in Pisa, 939 in Livorno, 814 in Arezzo, 732 in Siena, 473 in Grosseto. We must add 214 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The crude mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deaths/resident population) is currently 341.4 per 100 thousand residents. As regards the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (399.8 per 100 thousand inhabitants), followed by Florence (396.8 x100,000) and Pistoia (392.4 x100,000), while the lowest is in Grosseto (218.3 x100,000).
