“We will work on a study commission to survey, evaluate and manage cases of adverse reactions to the Covid vaccine. The extent and type of adverse effects that have occurred will need to be understood. Clarifying would also be useful to give everyone greater peace of mind”.
The minister declared it Orazio Schillaci who announces his intention to establish a new Commission of Inquiry to ensure constant surveillance of the safety of vaccines and to address any reports of adverse reactions in a timely and effective manner.
The vaccine

The Emma, The European Medicines Agency, in fact, continuously checks new information on the safety of all vaccines available in Europe, including Covid vaccines, coming from numerous data sources, which include:
- reports of suspected adverse events by patients, parents and healthcare professionals
- clinical studies
- scientific literature
- information shared by other regulatory bodies.
Adverse reactions
The most frequent ones after Covid vaccination are local reactions at the injection site (pain, swelling, redness), headache, fever, tiredness and muscle pain.
To these, but less frequent: anaphylaxis, myocarditis and pericarditis (about one case in 100,000 vaccinated), thrombosis with thrombocytopenia (between 3 and 15 cases per million initial vaccinations).
Rarer: Guillain Barré syndrome and Bell’s palsy.
