Jovanotti, devastated by cancer. The singer’s dramatic words shared on social media: “It had spread all over his body.”
Eclectic, versatile, original, Jovanotti is among the most iconic artists on the Italian music scene. His concerts are always sold out and his songs become hits in the charts in just a few days. He boasts important collaborations with Italian, but also international, artists and loves to contaminate his songs with different and unique sounds.
Very active on social media, Jovanotti shares his music and also a lot of his passions. He loves traveling by bicycle, a means of transport that allows him to learn the most unusual aspects of the countries he chose to visit. He was recently the victim of an accident which forced him to undergo immediate surgery, and for a few months he has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation. Next year he will return to tour and is already working on making new songs.
In the past the singer has also shared some dramatic moments related to his daughter Teresa’s illness. The young woman had a tumor: she was in her early twenties He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma: a cancer of the lymphatic system. It was 2020, and for the singer and his family it was a dramatic moment. Teresa underwent treatment immediately, she lived through some very difficult months, and only when she recovered did she want to talk about her dramatic ordeal. On social media the young woman wrote a long post where she revealed some details of the disease.
Jovanotti: “Today is a beautiful day for us…”
The singer wanted to share his daughter’s post, and revealed all the joy of the moment: “Today my Teresa wanted to tell her story of the last seven months. Yesterday the end-of-therapy tests said that the disease was gone, but today It’s a beautiful day for us, she was crazy.”
Teresa told how she discovered she was ill. Initially she ignored some symptoms such as itching felt only in her legs, but then when it spread throughout her body and a lymph node swelled up she became worried and turned to the doctors: after the diagnosis, she underwent all the necessary treatments.
The 25-year-old thanked the medical staff who looked after her and spent words of affection and gratitude towards her parents who never made her feel alone: “…a special thanks to my parents, @lorenzojova and @fravaliani who have always been there. For a certain towards cancer is a very lonely disease, but the support of those close to you is essential to overcome it, I wouldn’t have done it without them.”
