Paolo Virzì and his ex-wife Micaela Ramazzotti they did not remain on good terms. There is no doubt about this, after the furious argument in which they were protagonists in a restaurant in Rome in the Aventine area, not far from the Colosseum, on Monday evening. The director and the actress, who broke up last year and are facing divorce proceedings, met by chance and within seconds a row broke out.

The fight at the restaurant

As reported by Il Messaggero, around 10pm on Monday Micaela Ramazzotti was having dinner with her new partner, while Paolo Virzì was taking a walk with his daughter from his previous relationship and his 14-year-old son with the actress. The two recognized each other and after a few too many words the furious clash began.

«Dishes, cutlery and chairs flew. We didn’t immediately understand what was happening and only later did we realize that they were such famous people” said two girls who were having dinner in the restaurant on Monday evening: “We also saw a mobile phone thrown to the ground, then a girl felt hurt and ran to the bathroom. We heard them screaming for several minutes.” The argument lasted over 40 minutes. The police intervened to separate them.

The support of an 118 ambulance is also necessary. Virzì’s daughter was also treated on site by 118 for some scratches. At the moment neither of the two spouses would have filed a complaint but the military are working to reconstruct what happened in the outdoor spaces of the well-known venue. Yesterday afternoon the owner who was the first to intervene in an attempt to restore peace between the two, his regular customers, was also heard. The artists called the manager to apologize ready to compensate for any damages.
