The racing world has welcomed few, very few drivers as talented as Michael Schumacher. Seven world championships, five of which in Ferrari. A love story with the ‘Red’ that thrilled millions of fans. The same ones who found themselves crying for their hero on December 29, 2013.
The fall on the snow in Meribel during a ski descent was a tragedy for Michael and his family. Literally alive by a miracle, the ‘Kaiser’ ended up under continuous treatment costing over 7 million euros a year. Since then, Corinna she had to fund her husband’s fortune just to attempt a miracle, to bring Michael back to what he was and has no longer been for eleven years.
In recent times, to cope with huge medical expenses, Schumi’s wife found herself forced to sell the villa in Geneva, a private jet and also Michael’s personal collection of eight watches celebrating his unrepeatable career. However, there is no news of any kind on the health conditions of the former Ferrari driver who is surrounded by the affection of his family but also protected by the most total secrecy.
The web, however, never stops celebrating his exploits and his talent. And so a truly touching shot emerged that shows how much his son Mick is resembling – over the years – his father Michael. It wasn’t just Formula 1 that made Michael Schumacher great. The former driver in the past – and in this case it was 1991 – also took part in the 24 hours of Le Mans, once again ending up surprising everyone with his incredible talent.
A shot popped up on ‘X’, for a truly touching parallel between father and son. In fact, Mick took part in the 24 hours of Le Mans for the first time: unlike Schumi, who finished fifth driving the Sauber-Mercedes, Michael’s son raced for Alpine. It’s not easy to match the seven-time world champion but the parallel between the two is truly touching.
Right now that Michael is living a half life, due to poor health following the skiing accident, his son is slowly finding its place in the racing world. And everyone will be rooting for the young German driver who has always had to deal – even in his unfortunate and brief stint in F1 with Haas – with a surname that is truly inconvenient to manage.
