“I’m not out of the woods yet”

Kate Middleton will return to appear in public for the first time after announcing last March that she was suffering from cancer and had started chemotherapy. The Princess of Wales will participate on Saturday in Trooping the Colour, the traditional military parade which takes place every June in London. After parading on the royal carriage together with her three children, she will greet the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace together with the other members of the royal family.

The announcement on the Instagram page

After the letter last June, where she apologized for the cancellation on the day in which she was supposed to review the Irish Guards, an official event in which she would have taken on the role of colonel, Kate Middleton returned to speak to the English, this time from her Instagram page: “I have been so amazed by all the messages of support and encouragement over the last two months. They have really made a difference for William and I and have helped us through some very difficult times,” the future queen wrote.

“I’m making progress”

The princess then spoke about her illness, a tumor in her abdomen, and the very debilitating treatments she is undergoing: “I am making a lot of progress – she continued – but as anyone who has undergone chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days , like those days when you feel weak and tired and your body needs to rest, on good days, when you feel stronger, you try to make the most of your feeling good.”

Kate Middleton, the new official letter is moving: “I am not capable, I apologize to the regiment”

“The treatment will continue for a few more months – explains Kate Middleton – and it is a joy, on the days when I feel quite well – to dedicate time to the things and people that give me energy and positivity and start doing some work from home. This weekend I can’t wait to participate in the King’s Birthday Parade with my family and I hope to be able to participate in some public engagements during the summer “Even if I know I’m not out of danger yet – concludes the princess – I’m learning to be patient and not give in to uncertainty. I take each day as it comes, listen to my body and give myself this necessary time to heal. Thank you all so much for understanding and sharing your stories with me.
