This is Lorenzo Castelli, 33 years old, selected in 2021 by Forbes Italia among the most promising Under 30s in the Venture Capital category. Together with him, he writes The messenger, Marina Di Guardo, Ferragni’s mother, and Alessandro Marina, a consultant known in the world of Milanese fashion, will also join the staff. There had already been contacts between the Milanese entrepreneur and Castelli in the past. Among the projects managed by Alchimia Investments, a company founded by Castelli himself, there was also the Chiara Ferragni Collection project.
The experience in the United States
Born in 1991, Lorenzo Castelli graduated in Labor Economics from Roma Tre University and then obtained a master’s degree in Project Management from Luiss Business School. His professional adventure began at a very young age in New York, where he worked as personal assistant to John Vizzone, vice president of Ralph Lauren. From the Big Apple he then moves to Miami, where he tries to open (unsuccessfully) a chain of Italian grocery stores.
The return to Italy with Alchimia
Returning to Italy, Castelli co-founded Alchimia Investments, an investment company active in venture capital, risk capital. Within a short time, Alchimia became a point of reference in the sector and Castelli ended up in the Forbes list dedicated to the most promising Under 30s in its sector. One of the company’s successes is Virgin Hyperloop One, which carried out the first test with people on board a train with hyperloop technology, used for high-speed transport inside low-pressure tubes.
