Rania of Jordan appeared majestic at the Silver Jubilee celebration of her husband, King Abdullah II, held at Raghadan Palace in Amman. The dress consisted of a shirt bodice with 7 buttons that they represented the Jordanian star with 7 points and a gray bustier, similar to armor that symbolized “the protection and strength that Jordan has experienced over the last 25 years”.

The long, soft skirt with many folds on each of which was hand-embroidered an ear of corn which has a powerful symbolic value. Indeed, “in the Jordanian keffiyeh, the wheat motif symbolizes abundance and prosperity, reflecting Jordan’s agricultural heritage and cultural depth,” explained the designer.

Laith Maalouf told how the splendid dress worn by Rania of Jordan was born. “Creating the dress was a labor of love and dedication, which took approx 200 hours of meticulous work. From the initial meetings with Her Majesty to discuss the design, through to sketching, sourcing the appropriate fabrics, pattern making, sewing and embroidery, every step has been handled with the utmost care and attention to detail by skilled couturiers ”.

Rania completed the look by wearing, and it’s a rare occurrence, a diamond tiarai, to be precise the Arabic Scroll Tiara, which she paired with diamond drop earrings. The hairstyle is sophisticated and original. In fact, the Queen opted for a low ponytail, intertwining it with the tiara from which her tufted fringe emerged.

Equally important and symbolic is the look he chose Rajwa of Jordan which he showed for the second time, after the official portrait the belly. Once again the Princess opted for a red look. Like Rania, her dress was also custom made by Saudi brand Honayda Serafi, in honor of her homeland, Saudi Arabia, although the look was created to pay homage to Jordan, her adopted country thanks to her marriage to Prince Hussein. Starting from the red color which brought to mind the Hashemite dynasty and represents love and loyalty towards the land.

The dress with cape it was finely decorated with cross-stitch embroidery, made with the colors of the Jordanian flag and with silver threads that symbolized the 25 years of reign of King Abdullah.

“Born from Honayda’s belief in empowering women around the world and aiming to shed light on fashion’s heritage by connecting cultures, it was an immense pleasure to co-create with HRH Princess Rajwa Al Hussein her look for this great event , highly significant also for the arrival of the first child,” declared Serafi.

The dress was created by combining traditional and cutting-edge techniques, including 3D printing. It took 120 hours just to create the decorations of the collar and cape and 950 hours of workmanship in the atelier.
