“Such an intimate thing is difficult to talk about.” Thus Anbeta Toromani, guest on Verissimo, the Canale5 television program hosted by Silvia Toffanin, tried to explain the importance of her love story with Alessandro Macario, the resident guest dancer at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. The two married in 2009, but little is known about the couple given their confidentiality. The Albanian dancer, who became famous in Italy thanks to Maria De Filippi’s talent show, however let herself go and became emotional when talking about her husband and their long relationship. «Meeting Kledi Kadiu changed my life», added Anbeta, retracing her career and recalling her first television appearance.

«The relationship with Alessandro is sincere, for better or for worse. We have been living together for 15 years and are very private. He and I share a love of dance. He knows Anbeta 100%: the good and the bad sides. When I see others cry I always say “Come on, hold back a little”, but it’s not that easy! He is a very sweet man and we spend a lot of time together because we also work together. As a couple we hope to remain like this: no more and no less because we have everything”, added Anbeta.

Who is Anbeta Toromani

Born on 2 April 1979 in Tirana, Albania, the city where he grew up and where he developed his great passion for dance. She started dancing as a child when she was only 5 years old and obtained a diploma from the National Dance Academy. She later moved to Baku, Azerbaijan, to continue her studies, perfecting herself as an artist and once she returned to Albania she joined the Ballet of the Tirana Opera Theater as a prima ballerina. Here she plays the protagonist in numerous famous ballets including Giselle, Don Quixote, Cinderella and Carmen. In 2002 Anbeta Toromani made her debut on Italian television by participating in the Canale 5 talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi where she won second place. Starting from the following edition she joined the cast of the program as a professional dancer, covering the role until 2012.
