Johnny Depp he put an end to everything. The actor, who will turn 61 on June 9, showed up on the set of the new campaign Dior with short hair and several kilos less (she is the face of the successful Sauvage perfume). He therefore abandoned the scruffy bohemian look that has characterized him in recent years. The actor showed off his look publicly at the London premiere of “Jeanne du Barry” last Monday.

The actor, who reportedly cut his hair two weeks ago, now lives in London and seems to be in his detox period after the dark past with his ex-wife Amber Heard. Regarding his “return” announced by the newspapers, he essentially said that he had never left: «I haven’t returned anywhere. I did not go anywhere”. He added: “It’s almost like I have to come back and do a tap dance, dance my best for you guys, and I hope you approve.”
The Hollywood boycott and the defamation trials
During the premiere, the actor told reporters that he did not feel boycotted by Hollywood following the domestic abuse allegations made against him by his ex-wife Amber Heard, calling them “just vowels and consonants floating in the air.”
In 2022 Depp won the trial – which had such great media coverage that it ended up on Netflix – against Heard, in which the court ruled that she had defamed him when she reported the domestic abuse. In 2020, however, he lost the defamation trial against the tabloid The Sun which had branded him a “wife beater”.
