Audi e-tron GT, the restyling gives an injection of performance

Newly, the restyling Audi e-tron GT 2024, it has many and all of a certain weight. They have more impact than marginal changes to the style.

The RS e-tron GT performance version makes its debut, which goes straight to the top of the offer not only for its 175,400 euro list price, but also for the 925 horsepower system.

The plus sign also characterizes the power levels of the Audi S e-tron GT, at 680 horsepower and an increase of 150 compared to the past, as well as the RS e-tron GT: 856 horsepower, 210 more. In the electric motors chapter, thanks to the development of the units for the Q6 e-tron, here are motor generators that are 10 kg lighter.

Bigger and less heavy battery

Important steps forward also arrive on battery, which allows up to 680 km of autonomy on the S e-tron GT. We are 100 km and more beyond what has been proposed so far by the access e-tron GT. The credit goes to a 105 kWh battery (97 kWh rechargeable, 13 more than in the past) and improved thermal management. Worth noting is the 625 kg weight, with a saving of 9 kg.

The RS e-tron GT 2024 reaches 600 km (597 km), while the RS e-tron GT performance inevitably trades a bit of efficiency for a lot of extra performance: 585 km.

Even faster charging

Audi (here you can find the models on the used market) has further developed the DC charging power, reaching 320 kW, a plus sign equal to 50 kW. Now, in the Audi Virtual Cockpit plus, the operating temperature and battery preconditioning (if directed to an HPC charging station) are always present and with real-time data. 18 minutes are enough to go from 10 to 80% of the charge, in ideal operating conditions.

Prices of the Audi e-tron GT: S and RS

The restyling range of the 2024 e-tron GT will arrive on the road in Italy from September. Prices start from 128,400 euros in S trim, 159,400 euros for the RS e-tron GT. Net of the numerous customization possibilities. Staying on the technical side, there is no shortage of four-wheel steering or carbon-ceramic brakes. The structure can become of the attic type and pneumatic springs.

The latter are provided as standard, the regulation logic changes: active and with control of each individual wheel. Depending on the driving modes, the Audi e-tron GT offers a range of response that is very firm and controlled in roll, or devoted to extreme comfort.

Other options outside of performance include the carbon roof on the RS e-tron GT performance and the package of carbon inserts on the bodywork. On board, a wide choice of environments, with coverings characterized by a high degree of recycled material (PET plastic, polyester).

Performance: acceleration and maximum speed

But let’s get back to the performance. The numbers of the Audi electric grand tourer are exaggerated. There is also a push to pass which, from a button on the steering wheel, delivers 95 horsepower of extra power for 10 seconds. Since the S e-tron GT we have counted a 0-100 hour time of 3″4.7 tenths faster than the model it will replace. The RS e-tron GT improves by 5 tenths and drops to 2″8, for the RS e-tron GT Performance 2″5 are enough, thanks to the driving torque of 1,027 Nm, higher than the 865 Nm of the RS e-tron GT and 740 Nm of the S e-tron GT. The maximum speed is 250 per hour on the RS, 245 for the variant S.
