From the Finra report – reports Bloomberg – it is unclear whether the employees fired by Wells Fargo and involved in the affair were working from home. With the explosion of smart working, the use of devices and software that imitate work activities, sometimes known as “mouse movers” or “mouse jiggers”, has also spread. The financial sector was among those most forcefully calling for workers to return to the office as the pandemic ended, even as Wells Fargo waited longer than rivals JpMorgan And Goldman Sachs Group. The bank, based in San Francisco, began asking employees to return to the office under a “hybrid flexible model” in early 2022 and now expects most employees to be in the office at least three days a week, while many employees, such as those in branch offices, are in the office five days a week.
