Ferrari trembles, the Chinese clone of the Purosangue arrives: they are practically identical

The world of supercars has suffered a huge earthquake: China has managed to create a racing car identical to Ferrari’s very powerful SUV.

In 2022 the Maranello brand literally revolutionized the supercar sector, introducing its first high-performance SUV: the Ferrari Purosangue. The latter is a model characterized by an elegant, sporty design and with some references to Gran Turismo. Its engine it also consists of a V12 petrol engine 6.5 liters, capable of releasing 725 horsepower at 7,750 rpm.

It is therefore a real racing car capable of accelerating up to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and reaching a maximum speed of 310 km/h. However, a prestigious Chinese brand recently created a vehicle that is almost identical to Ferrari’s Purosangue model.

The Chinese Thoroughbred that surprised everyone

China has launched the direct rival of the Purosangue model produced by Ferrari: the Avatr 07. The latter is an extremely attractive crossover, equipped with many technological devices and a cutting-edge engine. Its builders are part of a joint venture made up of three prestigious Chinese brands: Changan, Huawei and CATL. This innovative model, which is characterized by rather compact dimensions, is also available in the BEV and EREV versions. As for the propulsion, this is made up of a 100% electric motor with 590 horsepower.

However, the Chinese brand has also announced a range extender version, which will have a generator connected to a small heat engine, which will obviously serve to increase battery autonomy. The main objective of the Avatr 07 is therefore to compete with its direct electric rivals, in particular with the Tesla Model Y. The very young Chinese joint venture has in fact taken on Nader Faghihzadeh as designer of the innovative crossover. He is a true master of automotive design, as in the past he designed the exteriors of many successful cars, such as the new BMW 7 Series.

In any case, the lines chosen for the Chinese crossover follow the path taken by the Avatr 12. In particular, it is possible to notice the two-level LED running lights, consisting of headlights integrated into the front bumper. And not only that: the innovative car also has cameras installed in the side mirrors and under the rear light cluster. Its very powerful electric motor also guarantees a maximum speed of approximately 200 km/h, while the battery of the EREV version offers a range of 188 km. All those who want to purchase this Chinese engineering jewel must shell out an amount between 250,000 and 350,000 yuan (approximately 32,000-44,900 euros).
