After the Scenic e-Tech and the Captur, Renault presents itself on the market with a new Sport Utility Vehicle capable of combining spaciousness, high technology and reduced consumption.
Equipped with a modular and modern environment, this model was created specifically to guarantee comfort and privacy. 4.41 meters long, the new model of the transalpine brand, belonging to the C segment, does not completely abandon the classic engine, in order to embrace the needs of more customers, including the most skeptical towards electric.
Among the goodies that characterize this SUV, built on the basis of the CMF-B platform already used for other models, we mention the OpenR Link multimedia system with integrated Google and the Solarbay tinted glass sunroof. There is also no shortage of driving assistance services, of which there are as many as 29.
The new Renault SUV arrives, the other features
The new Renault SUV is called Symbioz, a name that derives from Greek and recalls union, being together. For this reason too, it aims to offer a travel experience that is as relaxing as possible.
In the three versions made available, different coverings have always been adopted depending on the type of reference clientele, ranging from wide-knit technical fabric to embossed TEP.
The rims are normally 18 inches but on the Esprit Alpine and Iconic versions they are 19. As regards the colours, Renault offered a range of seven colours, with the entry of Mercury Blue, in addition to white, two shades of grey, black and Iron Blue.
Aesthetically it is a muscular car, even if the harshness of the lines is smoothed laterally. It should be reiterated, however, that its large volumes are justified by a comfortable environment and a boot that is able to guarantee it up to 624 liters of capacity with seats in operation.
Opening the bonnet we find an e-Tech 145 hybrid engine, very efficient and consequently low in consumption. The regeneration and energy recovery have been borrowed from F1. Going into detail on the composition of the powertrain, the battery motors are two of 36 and 18 kW, while the petrol component is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 94 hp. Fuel consumption stands at 4.6 liters per 100 km, but if you move around the city the suggestion is to go electric, guaranteeing an autonomy of 80% on this type of route.
There are still no official communications on prices which apparently should start from 26 thousand euros.
