TO June there will be no real ones pension increases. It is a recalculation of the amountcarried out between last March and April, which integrates the increases foreseen by the payslip Irpef reform 2024. In practice there will be an increase, but not for everyone.
Pension increase in June: who is entitled to it
The pension increases they have already happened. In fact, during 2024 the annual revaluation of the pension allowance and the Irpef reform led to a higher value on pensioners’ monthly payments.
There is a consideration to make immediately: while the annual revaluation had an effect on all pensions, the reduction of Irpef it was only visible to some pensioners with a certain income.
Pension increase: the reasons
There pension revaluation in 2024, compared to inflation, it led to increases equal to:
- 100% on pensions up to 4 times the minimum
- 85% on pensions between 4 and 5 times the minimum
- 53% on pensions between 5 and 6 times the minimum
- 47% on pensions between 6 and 8 times the minimum
- 37% on pensions between 8 and 19 times the minimum
- 32% on pensions over 10 times the minimum
The increase in pensions, however, is mainly due to the new Irpef brackets, which provide:
- up to 15 thousand euros stable rate at 23%
- for incomes above 15 thousand and up to 28 thousand a reduction in the rate from 25% to 25% (in 2024)
- incomes above 28 thousand and within 50 thousand an unchanged rate of 35%
- finally for incomes above 50 thousand euros, the rates are stable at 43%
An example of savings: for an income of 16 thousand euros, 3,680 euros of Irpef will be paid instead of 3,700, for a saving of 20 euros per year (1.67 euros per month)
Pension increase: the INPS table
The two factors of increase have thus led, starting from 1 January 2024, to a increase in pensions up to 5.4%.
The INPS table provides:
- for amounts of 1,000 euros a gross increase of 54 euros per month
- for amounts of 1,500 euros a gross increase of 81 euros per month
- for amounts of 2,000 euros a gross increase of 108 euros per month
- for amounts of 2,500 euros a gross increase of 114.75 euros per month
- for amounts of 3,000 euros a gross increase of 85.80 euros per month
- for amounts of 3,500 euros a gross increase of 88.55 euros per month
- for amounts of 4,000 euros a gross increase of 101.20 euros per month
- for amounts of 5,000 euros a gross increase of 100 euros per month
- for amounts of 6,000 euros a gross increase of 71.40 euros per month
Pension increase in June: what changes
There are therefore no increases scheduled for June 2024. The recalculation was done between March and April. However, there are those who might see a extra in the pension allowance of June.
Who is waiting for a backlogged of the new Irpef system will in fact see its monthly amount grow starting from June. However, these are the last group of pensioners, those who have not received the arrears expected in recent months.
June pension calendar: when they arrive
Be careful when paying June pensions. In fact, the first days of the month are a weekend. Furthermore, June 2nd is a public holiday and therefore there may be delays.
In June the availability for pensions in Mail is expected from June 1stwhile those who withdraw or wait for their pension in bank will be able to view the amount starting from Monday 3 June 2024.
