Let others charge with my wall-box? No thank you

Letting others charge with private wall-boxes to counteract the high cost of charging stations? Luigi explains why the proposal from Loris, another reader, is not a good idea.

These are the accounts of my system and my consumption

Whoever installed a wall-box did so, like me, together with a photovoltaic systemwith accumulation and planning to buy an electric car. My system produces, in the hours in which the insolation is high, approximately 7-8 kW/h peak. In the preceding and following hours the production is distributed along a Gauss curve (bell curve) which reaches production throughout the day in summer (when there are no clouds), approximately 40kW/h. My car has a battery of 46kWh, the wall-box delivers a maximum of 32A and 7.5kW/h when there is no consumption at home. Which is difficult, because with photovoltaics you use plans induction cooking, heat pump and hot water system.

let others loadLet others take charge? It is not the solution, for these two reasons

That said, I’m leaving aside easy calculations, but to charge my car during the day, with low power consumption from the outside, takes about 7 hours. Outside of these, when I’m out or at night, I should be trusted to give out the house keys to strangers to make my wall-box available. Furthermore, as we well know, when consumption increases, the cost of the network also increasesand then they arrive too adjustments that are real drains. This is therefore not the solution. The cost of a top-up from the charging station must be a maximumor 2/3 times that of home to offset the costs of distribution as it was a few months ago. Today there is only speculation and energy production and distribution companies they have to reduce their profits. Best regards. Luigi De Vecchis
