Its shape is extraordinary and it can be defined as fantastic, especially in its Quadrifoglio version, the most powerful ever. The CEO of Alfa Romeo, Jean-Philippe Learnato, spoke about this new model and gave an interview on the occasion of the launch of the new Milano model. In this context he stated that this example will not be produced in the super sports version, but also that the Tonale will not be made in the Quadrifoglio version.

Alfa Romeo, the most powerful SUV ever existed

From interviews in 2022, it seemed that Learnato was convinced that he could give his customers a Tonale Quadrifoglio with 400 horsepower, yet this was not the case. “We couldn’t do it at a reasonable cost; furthermore, it would have been difficult to produce it while respecting the rules on CO2 emissions”said the CEO of Alfa Romeo.

Nevertheless, the Quadrifoglio version will be created for another very attractive model, the new Stelvio which will be placed on the market starting from 2025. Together with the Giulietta, this very powerful SUV will be created on the STLA Large platform and will be assembled within the Cassino plant. Furthermore, there will be two electric cars, “capable of being able to give a substitute experience to the thermal”Impatto finally concluded.

At the moment, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is expected with 941 horsepower, but the idea is to be able to make it reach up to 1000 horsepower. Although this is not the main objective for the Biscione company, power does not take a back seat, nor does charging and the kilometers that can be done on a full tank. In fact, it will be able to take advantage of 270 kW to power the battery in super fast mode and a range of 700 km of travel.
