A story of revenge, of self-discovery, the cross-section of a difficult Italy that chooses, however, to rediscover the light within education. The first book by the principal of the Sperone Pertini Institute in Palermo, Antonella Di Bartolo, “Domani c’è scuola” (Mondadori), which will be presented as part of a special event on the sidelines of the Amici del libro exhibition, organized by the Retablo cultural association and CoopCulture.

“There’s school tomorrow” is the story of ten years of work and commitment not only of a principal, but of a school that becomes a community, a testimony of how we work in marginal places, not only geographically. “There’s school tomorrow” is much more than a story about school: it’s a story of revenge, of self-discovery. It is the cross-section of a difficult Italy that chooses, however, to rediscover the light within education. It is the story of a woman who, thanks to her values, managed to change the fate of an entire neighborhood and, why not, to plant a seed for a much broader revaluation.
Teresa Mannino, who was a guest of the Sperone Pertini institute last year when, meeting the students of the school, she spoke to them about the painting ‘La Spiaggia’ by Guttuso.
