About two years ago, the leaders of the “Association from the lands of Giotto and Angelico”, among the many personal and collective exhibitions, prizes and artistic reviews scheduled, came up with the idea of promoting a very particular initiative: the depiction of the churches of Mugello, Alto Mugello and Val di Sieve, and then once the works have been collected, to insert them into a book so that they remain a testimony. The invitation was accepted by around 70 painters, each in his own technique (oil, engraving, bas-relief in wood and stone, watercolour, Indian ink, pencil, in photos etc, etc), they set to work choosing the many Parish Churches, Churches, Oratories and Chapels throughout the aforementioned territory.

The work was not easy, there were difficulties in management, work, choice, but in the end – finally – last Saturday 15 June 2024 (at 4.30 pm) inside the Oratory of Sant’Omobono in Borgo San Lorenzo (gc), Francesca Parrini, president of the Association “from the lands of Giotto and Angelico” together with the board of directors and the publisher Francesco Noferini, presented this beautiful volume, explaining the difficulties in this long journey, but at the same time happy that this historical-artistic-iconographic event had its happy solution.

After this presentation in Sant’Omobono, all those present went to Piazza Vittorio Veneto (known in Borgo as Piazza dell’Agostini), where the collective exhibition of the paintings included was set up in a large estate owned by Barletti, kindly granted. in iconographic images in the book. This exhibition can be visited during the normal temporary gallery hours.
