Sunday afternoon tooratory of the Sacred Heart the presentation of the book by Angela MasottiAnd finally the crow. Stories of animality” (Affiori, 2024).

It’s about the first book published by Angelawhich we all know not only because our fellow citizenbut above all for theI commit which he has been leading for years in the cultural and social fields.

The presentation was attended by a large audiencecomposed of family, friends but also as simple people spectators intrigued by the topics addressed by Angela in her pages.

In fact, the book is one collection of short stories, rich in neologisms and linguistic sophisticationof which it is a company as protagonist that we could define dystopian. Angela’s characters face the drama all contemporary of ecological collapse he was born in capitalism: people, animals, plants and other natural elements are deeply interconnected and united in a harmonious network which is that of creationand it’s sacred; anyone who does not respect or even breaks this harmony faces apocalyptic consequences. Consequences that the protagonists face, often seeking in the community The only means to be able to be reborn on the rubble.

A long applause welcomed the dedication of the afternoon to Bruno Gonnellafriend of Angela and many of the people present in the room, passed away prematurely a few days ago.

The presentation was introduced by music from the film”Pinocchio” by Comenciniperformed by Federico Cardelli, Lorenzo Cardelli and Rossano Emiliand from reading some passages from the book edited by Anna Giulia Nardo, Margherita Giacchini, Doris Bellomusto and Marcella Suffredini.

To introduce to the contents of the book, together withauthorthey were there prof. Maria Elena Bertoli (who signed the afterword) and the Prof. Lucia Giovannetti; the two teachers underlined the ecological significance of these stories, as well as their educational value and the important role that the community plays, in them but also in our Serchio Valley. To moderate the afternoon was Sara Moscardini.

The presentation was sponsored by Unitre Barga, Custodians of Trees and Soil, Cento Lumi and Venti d’Arte association.

The day ended with a banquet to welcome the book.
