The scrupulous verification activity carried out by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Latina made it possible to exclude that shots were fired in via Ariosto late this morning. The report was the result of a false alarm, or rather a misinterpretation of what actually happened inside an apartment building: no shot, but the noises caused by the thud of some books fallen or thrown to the ground generated , in the witnesses, a wrong idea. A reality that was also misrepresented due to the fact that at that moment a family argument was taking place and the screams of a woman fueled the belief that something serious had happened.

The investigations by the Carabinieri soldiers, who intervened with the soldiers of the Radiomobile Operations Unit and the patrols of the Latina and Borgo Grappa station commands, continue to verify whether any illicit acts of any kind have been identified. During the investigations, emergency medical workers were also called to intervene in the event that, as initially proposed by the authors of the reports to 112, there could have been a shooting that had caused injuries. The Fire Brigade had also intervened with a team from the provincial command and the ladder truck to ensure, from the windows, that everything was in order in the apartments of the surrounding buildings which were apparently uninhabited. Then came the discovery that it had been an unfounded alarm.
